Various Logistics of Chongqing
Chongqing, China’s fourth municipality after Beijing, Shanghai, and Tianjin, is comprehensive transportation junction of the mid-west region in China which contribute to great advantages of logistics for international trade as illustrated in the picture.
The first advantage is the airlift. Jiangbei international airport is one of the biggest airport in Asia. Its logistics center covers 1.8 million square meters, also the design of support-ability for air freight is over 4 million ton.
The second one is railway transportation which includes two lines. As shown in follow pictures, the first line is from Chongqing to Rotterdam. It passes by more than ten countries and regions including the Sinkiang, Kazakhstan, Moscow, Poland, Duisburg, finally reached Rotterdam. The whole trip just takes two Weeks. The second line is from Chongqing to Thailand, and then we can change it into water carriage. The whole trip takes 27days.
The third one is water carriage. Chongqing is a port city which is situated in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers. The water carriage is traditional and low–cost way of transportation. Starting from Chongqing, along Yangtze River to Shanghai and then through Strait of Malacca, Indian Ocean, the Red Sea into the Mediterranean, finally coming to the Atlantic and Europe. The whole trip takes 40days.
The fourth one is expressway. It only takes one day from Chongqing to coastal cities such as Guangzhou, Shanghai.
